Default New Catholic Answers Live Host?

Does anyone have any news or information on this topic? My apologies for asking, but I really don't seem to get around to listening to the show these days.

If we tell you who the new host is, will you start listening to the show again?

I vote for Jerry Usher, Debbie Georgiani, and Barbara McWiggin as a team.

I have to say I'm enjoying Cy Kellett as host. He's starting to settle in and relax and has an easy rapport with the guests, especially Tim and Jimmy. Good job Cy!

Just yesterday I was wondering if they ever found a replacement. I don't listen to the show much, if at all, anymore.

Will listen this week if I have the time.

Why don't you listen anymore?? Cy's been the host for over 2 months now and I think he's doing wonderfully (this coming from a mega Patrick Coffin fan)

Also, CA Live is now streaming live video on Facebook, YouTube, and Periscope (Twitter) and each live episode is instantly archived for later viewing. Plus, Catholic Answers is coming to television later this Spring! Definitely start listening again; it's still fantastic! Go Catholic Answers!

I don't have the time to listen. My husband has had a heart attack, a triple bypass, a stroke, and he clinically died and was on a ventilator. I'm his sole caretaker.

i really should start listening to CA again. it just seemed like they were answering the same questions & dealing with the same issues over & over again. coffin did his best to keep it fresh. i bailed when he was dismissed. i should try to make my way back

to be honest, i have no "catholic questions" so i am not seeking "catholic answers"

maybe that was my problem

i think ewtn tv & radio works better for me

It seems like that last month or so has had more shows on specific topics: relativism, medical ethics, things like that. If you subscribe to the podcast, you can listen to just the topics that interest you and skip the "why aren't you Catholic?" hours. I really enjoy the open forums, myself. You do get some of the usual questions, but often times there's some real oddball stuff thrown in that's fun to hear. Things I wouldn't have even thought to wonder about.

I know what you mean about the same questions coming up again and again. I find the same thing here on the forums too. It does help in learning apologetics, and I really enjoy listening to Jimmy Akin and Tim Staples, but it can get repetitive. Fortunately there is enough variety in shows apart from the open forum topics.

My favorite ever question was asked of Tim Staples.

"Tim, my priest REFUSES to use Sanctus bells during Mass. What it be [illicit] if I rang my OWN Sanctus bells from the congregation???"

No, that's definitely in the GIRM, and it's a shame no one ever follows that rubric. Sissies.
