1 El Paso abortion clinic to close in August, other may stay open

AUSTIN >> One El Paso abortion clinic will be forced to close in August if it has to upgrade to standards required by a Texas law passed last year.

The other might be able to afford to make the required changes.

Closing both clinics likely would make El Paso the largest U.S. city not to have an abortion provider. The anti-abortion American Family Association wrote last year that Chattanooga, Tenn., with a population of 171,000, was the largest U.S. city without an abortion clinic.

Baby steps (pun intended) in the right direction.

Praise the Lord. Another one shut down. Chip, Chip, Chip. Let’s keep chipping away.
