2nd Ammendment_What's it mean?

#1

Do you agree that the 2nd amendment’s intent was to allow for states to have militias and that the right that the state enjoyed would not be infringed?

Do you also agree that the 2nd amendment’s intent was to allow for citizens of the United States to not be denied the right to own and posess arms with the guaranty that the right would not be infringed?

Do you agree that there is nothing immoral about the second amendment?

If not, explain why.

The US Supreme Court resolved the “militia” issue a few years ago in DC v. Heller, holding that gun ownership under the Second Amendment is an individual right unconnected with service in a militia. I was at the argument. I think the Court’s interpretation was reasonable and well-grounded. I agree with it and see no moral problem with it.
