8.2 Earthquake in Sumatra

Pray that there is no tsunami. This is pretty much where the December 26 earthquake happened.

Small news story link.

It is very interesting that this one occurred near the other one.
The last one being the day after Christmas and this one being the day after Easter.

Bottom line is that we are being chastized.

The porn state of California is under weather punishment as we speak.

Florida got it last year. Pre-chastisement? They are in a drought down there now. Maybe the whole state will burn to the ground this year?

Sri Lanka issued a tsuanmi warning, urging residents in coastal areas to evacuate…

**Thailand orders residents in south to evacuate… **

**BULLETIN… **

**8.2 quake occurs in Indian Ocean, tsunamis feared… **
Lasted up to three minutes, same location as giant quake that hit area Dec. 26, could be felt in Singapore and Malaysia…

****Great Quake measuring 8.2 on Richter hit Indonesia’s tsunami-devasted Sumatra island late Monday, causing major panic, power blackouts…

Pacific coasts not affected.

Fox News just reported on the radio (12:40 EST) that if there is going to be a tsunami, it will probably hit Indonesia within 45 minutes to 2 hours from now.

Unfortuately, there’s no warning systems in these little villages…there’s no way to warn people.

Need some prayers here fast, folks!

I hope that anyone on the coast in the little villages high-tailed it for high land once the shaking stopped.

I’m a geology student (wanting to be a seismologist, actually), and this quake is really distressing to me, for some reason. (Here’s the USGS report on the quake, as well)

I’ll be praying for those affected. :frowning:

Dear friends

:crying: Our UK news is saying it is a 8.2 magnitude, uncertain if there will be a Tsunami but evaquations taking place.

Praying!

God Bless you and much love and peace to you and all of those there in Asia

I didn’t even think about that. Yikes.

God is not vengeful and doesn’t punish people by sending natural disasters.

Very interesting this point, thanks

USGS has upped it to a 8.7 quake. Ouch.

I don’t know if you are right about that!

Please pray. My brother in law and his family are in that region on holiday. I know they said they are going to Thailand, but I think they normally go to Phuket. Please pray that a tsunami doe not hit again!

Dear friends

Praise and thanks be to Jesus and His Mother Mary.

It seems now there is no danger of Tsunami.

Thanks to all of the world’s prayers.

Please pray for those who have died due to building collapse in the earthquake

God Bless you and much love and peace to you

‘And Jesus answered them ’ Take heed that no-one leads you astray. For many will come saying, ‘I am the Christ’ and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumour of wars; see that you are not alarmed; for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places: all this is but the beginning of the sufferings. Then they will deliver you up to tribulation, and put you to death; and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away, and betray one another, and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because wickedness is multiplied, most men’s love will grow cold. But he who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.’

Sorry you feel that way.

God created the world in such a way that when we sin there will be consequences. Its not because God hates us or rejected us, the natural disasters happen because we bring disasters on our selves. God allows the natural disasters to happen to bring good out of it. Why did it happen? Because we are not being holy as we should be.

Is this church doctrine?

No

Dear friend

God does not harm any soul after His Son died and gathered all to Himself in, through and by Himself.

Yes the world will end. Yes people will suffer.

I ask you one question?

Would you die for your King Christ Jesus?

That time has been and soon will come again.

God Bless you and much love and peace to you

Yep. What happens when you spill milk, does it not make a mess? There is a connection likewise between sin and natural disasters.
