A friend joining a cloistered order

I just heard the news from a friend of mine. She will join a cloistered order next week - the Poor Clair in New Mexico - www.poorclaresroswell.com

I am very excited and happy for her and for all of us.

Your will be done, Lord.

She’s joining a very good order. I read the book called “A Right to be Merry” by Mother Mary Francis before her passing, and I was intrigued, even though I’m sure I don’t have the call to be cloistered. I’ll be praying for her!

Heavenly Father,
in your wisdom you have called
certain women and men
to a life of special consecration
so that in prayerful observance
of a lifestyle of poverty,
chaste celibacy and obedience,
they might be witnesses to us
that as St. Paul says,
"our true citizenship is in heaven."
Give them, Lord,
the grace of joy and perseverance
in their holy vocation.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord.
Amen.

Wonderful. Praying for her as she adjusts to her new way of life ...

Hail Mary,
full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

How wonderful for your friend. Wishing her much joy in her new life with her Sisters.

Peace,
Kathleen

“I am simply content to find myself always imperfect, and in this I find my joy. Good deeds count as nothing, if done without love” ~ St. Therese of Lisieux

Thank you all for your praying. I pray for you as well.

DaughterOfMary, I like this sentence “A Rosary a day keeps satan away”

God bless her. I wish her the very best.
