a quick question

Do you pray for others more than you pray for yourself?

My prayers are offered for-

The conversion of sinners and for the holy souls in purgatory.

Yes, but I am not sure it’s a good idea, because it is often I who hurt others by my own actions and sinfulness, so perhaps I should start praying more for my own self - not selfishly, but for the sake of others.

I pray for my family the most…which in a roundabout way ends up including prayers for me.

“Dear God, please allow our baby to be born in a peaceful, joyful manner in our home.”

“Dear Lord, please keep my husband alert, healthy, and safe while he is at work and on his way to and fro.”

I would say it is about the same — I say petition prayers for multiple people, and I also say petition prayers for myself; if I had to say an answer, I would say that I pray for both myself and others equally (or at least close to equally).
