A Thread to Praise Our Holy Mother Mary II

“From now on all generations will call me blessed”

This is a continuation of a beautiful thread started by @catholic03 A Thread to Praise Our Holy Mother Mary (it was unfortunately closed after standard two weeks of no response). Let’s glorify her sharing art, hymns and prayers

Please, Our Dearest Queen and Mother, accept at our humble and rather insufficient praise for you here in this forum. Pray for us, sinners!

And Mary said:

“My soul glorifies the Lord

‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,

for he has been mindful

‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎of the humble state of his servant.

From now on all generations will call me blessed,

‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎for the Mighty One has done great things for me—

‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎holy is his name.[…]" [Luke 1:46-49]

May the Holy Mother of God, the Queen of Heaven, be praised throughout all eternity!
O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to Thee!

Alma Redemptoris Mater

Loving Mother of the Redeemer,
who remains the accessible Gateway of Heaven,
and Star of the Sea,
Give aid to a falling people
that strives to rise;
O Thou who begot thy holy Creator,
while all nature marvelled,
Virgin before and after
receiving that “Ave” from the mouth of Gabriel,
have mercy on sinners.

sung version (very beautiful)

Pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of death!

Beneath thy mercy,

we take refuge, O Virgin Theotokos:

disdain not our supplications in our distress,

but deliver us from perils,

O only pure and blessed one.

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us, who have recourse to Thee!

O blessed Virgin Mary, who can worthily repay you with just dues of praise and thanksgiving, you who by the wondrous assent of your will rescued a fallen world? What songs of praise can our weak human nature recite in your honor, since it is by your intervention alone that it has found the way to restoration.

Accept, then, our gratitude and obtain by your prayers the remission of our offenses. Carry our prayers within the sanctuary of the heavenly audience and bring forth from it the antidote of our reconciliation.

May the sins we bring before Almighty God through you, become pardonable; may what we ask for with sure confidence, through you, be granted. Take our offering, grant us our requests, obtain pardon for our sins, for you are the sole hope of sinners. Through you we hope for the remission of our sins, and in you, O blessed Lady, is our hope of reward.

Holy Mary, succor the miserable, help the fainthearted, comfort the sorrowful, pray for your people, plead for the clergy, intercede for all women consecrated to God; may all who venerate you feel now your help and protection.

Be ever ready to assist us when we pray and bring back to us the answers to our prayers. Make it your continual care to pray for the people of God, you who, blessed by God, were made worthy to bear the Redeemer of the world, who lives and reigns, world without end. Amen.

(Prayer of Saint Augustine to the Blessed Virgin Mary)
