A Vatican delegation joins Arbaeen mourning procession
TEHRAN, Dec. 16 (MNA) – Iraqi sources has said a delegation from Vatican has joint Arbaeen mourning procession en route to Karbala.
Mehr News quoted Arabic-Language Al-Manar TV that a delegation from Vatican joined the pilgrims walking on foot to Karbala to attend in Arbaeen mourning ceremony. The delegation companied the procession about 1 Km en route to Karbala. Some Christian Iraqi religious leaders joined the delegation.

Monstinior Libero Andriata, the delegation head, told that the coincidence of the delegation mission to historical city of Ur and Imam Hussein (as) Arbaeen was interesting. “We noticed the procession on foot waling to Karbala and joined them briefly,” he said.

During recent few days, Shiite pilgrims had started walking to Karbala from Iraq’s different cities to mourn the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (as).

From what I understand, the pilgrimage has already been bombed at least twice. One suicide bomber killed 6 and injured 16 and an earlier bombing killed 4 and wounded 11. We should all say a prayer for the safety of the pilgrims and for those who walk with them and for the souls of those killed.
