Alabama renovates abandoned governor's mansion with BP money


BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama is using BP grant money left over from the 2010 Gulf oil spill to finally repair and renovate a beachfront governor’s mansion that has been abandoned for nearly two decades.

I’m glad the Gulf coast is being cleaned up and these repairs are being made. I hope to visit New Orleans later this year.


They should have bulldozed the building years ago. That last thing any government needs is an abandoned building in a floodplain.


These days the actions of the US and Alabamian governments make me consider myself a man without a country save Christendom.
