Am I in sin until I have made restitution?

#1

I am very afraid to ask this, but if I need to make restitution to someone, but will not be able to for several months, due to severe financial restrictions, but have full intention of making full repayment, am I in mortal sin? I want to correct this, but just do not have money now, as I was unemployed, and am now underemployed.

Dear SFX,

So long as you have been sacramentally absolved of whatever sin your committed that requires restitution, your sin is forgiven. But you do need to make restitution when you are able.
