Anglicanism in Canada 'one generation from extinction,' says report [CC]

A report prepared for the Anglican Diocese of British Columbia has found that Anglicanism in Canada is “one generation away from extinction.” Between 1961 and 2001, the ecclesial community lost 53% of its members.

43% of Canada’s 33.5 million residents are now Catholic, while 23% are Protestant (including Anglican). An increasing number of Canadians profess no religion.

Now that I think about it, of the people I know I can't actually name any Anglicans. In terms of liberal churches they're only 1 step from the United Church anyways.
