Annulments for Protestants?

May a civily divorced protestant, receive an annulment from the Catholic Church, without becoming a Catholic, in the hopes of marrying a Catholic?

Dear Michael,

Yes a civilly Protestant may receive an annulment from the Catholic Church without becoming a Catholic—even if he or she is not planning to marry a Catholic. This is a service that the Catholic Church will provide for other Christians who so desire it.
