Another prayer request for me

#1

Please pray for me and my boys. My divorce to my husband is almost finalized and I am feeling terrified about raising my boys alone. My husband’s mental problems have gotten much worse, to the point of my being very uncomfortable with having my boys around him, yet not wanting to alientate them. I am terrified my boys are going to end up with his problems (gender identity disorder, Narcissistic personality disorder, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, alcoholism, drug addiction). I psychoanalyze every little thing my boys do, terrified that I am seeing signs of these problems in them. I have been spending much of my time sick with worry. My OCD has been getting worse lately and I am miserable with anxiety. My schoolwork is overwhelming and I feel like I am a bad mother. I feel like I can’t do anything right. I pray to St. Monica, St. Joseph, St. John Bosco, St. Michael, St. Juan Diego, the Blessed Mother, and of course, God, but I can’t seem to find much peace. I am getting ready to file my annulment and pray that God has someone in mind for by boys and I for when that’s over with, to be a good husband and father. Please pray for me. I feel so lost.

I will be separated from my husband who also shares in some of the traits you’ve described with yours. I had been feeling a lot of fear and anxiety over my safety when he finds out.
I asked for prayers from friends for the protection and safety of me and my family yesterday, and by the end of the day, I could actually feel the prayers of others, felt more at peace, and even some joy.
I, also, have been concerned about the day by day necessities while living with him, as he’s denied even helping me with getting needed medication, etc.
The Bible reminds us to trust God in our day to day needs, the same way he provides even for the sparrow. Although I’ve had to depend on others, I see how God has provided what I need on a daily basis. I don’t know where things are going to come from even days from now, but after going through this, I have been able to see His hand at work, and am feeling more and greater trust in His Divine Providence.
Sometimes it seems that the Lord puts us in situations to learn He is the One we can depend on, not always ourselves or others, though He definitely works through people put in our paths.
Be assured of my prayers, and please, keep me also in yours.
May you feel the peace and infinite Love of our Lord, Jesus Christ, and the warmth of our Lady’s maternal and protective mantle surrounding you right now at this moment, and always.

Praying for you as you face the challenges ahead …

Hail Mary,
full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Lord, I pray that Irish Becca can find comfort and strength in receiving You in the Eucharist and in hearing Your Word proclaimed at the Mass. May she receive many graces by attending daily Mass (if she can attend) and persevere in prayer so she can deepen her relationship with You and have stamina to endure. May she talk with her Pastor if she is feeling too overwhelmed so he can help ease her fears and pain - and give her some practical help to her problems. May her sons develop healthily and have You as a guide and example for them to emulate. Maybe Irish Becca can get her boys to join a good Catholic youth group to help them develop into healthy men and good Catholics. I pray that after Irish Becca’s annulment she gets to meet a kind and loving Catholic man who can be a great comfort to her and an excellent husband and father. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.

Our Father who art in heaven
hallowed be thy name
thy kingdom come
thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven
give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us
and lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil
Amen

Hail, Mary, full of grace! The Lord is with thee;
blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.
