I know the principles of yoga, I know it’s aim, I know it’s many branches. The only thing those practices lack is focus on humility, which is at the center of Christian faith.
Actually Jesus is the center of Christian Faith, along with his Church.
Humility is a virtue we strive toward, which can not be achieved without transforming grace from God.
I have seen more humility in Hindu;s like Gandhi, than Christians like Churchill who called Gandhi a peasant and refused to meet with him.
but the eastern religions belive that we are God, who has dreamt this reality which is in factuality non-existent. Their very practice is self-centered.
No they don’t believe we are God, but being of God, have divine presence within us.
This is no different than what Jesus taught, that if we ask, He and the Father will come and dwell within us.
Hinduism, in fact all the Eastern Religions predate Christianity. If they all lead to demonic evil, then how is it that we Christians have caused more evil in the world then they have ?
Even the American Revolution which was a bloody conflict done by Christians, was not nearly matched as when Gandhi fought independence and liberty for India. After all, according to the opponents of Yoga, Gandhi a Hindu, should’ve used violence and hatred instead of nonviolence and love for others, as Jesus taught.
