Anyone catch 30 Rock this week?

Not only was it hilarious, it actually had a pro-life message to it! It was actually really great (and funny, especially if you grew up watching Harry and the Hendersons). Combined with the heart-warming treatment that the Office employees gave Michael, it was a really good hour of TV watching.

But Liz Lemon giving what would actually be called a pro-life speech to a young pregnant girl made me very, very happy…and it somehow involved Harry and the Hendersons?

I’m with you there, I loved it too. I don’t think the idea of abortion was even considered by the characters.

I think ?? that the show’s writer and star, Tina Fey, had some kind of problem getting pregnant and having a child of her own.

So it could be ??? that she is sympathetic to unborn children and their parents. She probably will not come out publicly as a pro-life Hollywood star, as this is unthinkable in that culture except for a few, like Mel Gibson. It’s too bad, because if the “stars” were pro-life, the whole country would be pro-life, I think. We really do put a lot of stock in what the Hollywood crowd thinks and says.

But perhaps among her circle of friends, and whenever she gets a chance in her show, Ms. Fey leans towards a more “pro-life” POV, since she has experienced trials in her own quest for children.

“It’s too bad, because if the “stars” were pro-life, the whole country would be pro-life, I think. We really do put a lot of stock in what the Hollywood crowd thinks and says.”

I agree with you, far too many of us do listen to the mindless Hollywood crowd. Isn’t that sad.

I will say that more people than we will ever know are pro-life, they just need others to take a courageous stand against evil as Jesus did.

Let’s start today and ask Jesus for the courage to stand up for the innocent babies being murdered.

Start with yourself, pray and get educated. Science has proven that life begins at conception, babies have a heartbeat around 18 days after conception, premature babies as young as 4 months, 20 weeks, have survived.

No circumstance can justify murdering an innocent baby, not rape, not incest, not the health of the mother. Two wrongs never equal one right.

“No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” Jn 15:13.

Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, Ora Pro Nobis Peccatoribus!

30 Rock is sick and twisted.

When the character played by Tina Fey asks one of her employees how he thinks women should act. The reply: “Like in a porn.”

All Catholics should avoid this show.

Peace,
Ed
