I’m not sure. Sometimes if topics are controversial, or they get heated, the mods choose to put a time limit on the thread.
Yes, I think that’s it. Something that’s not quite bad enough to get deleted, but is attracting the kind of comments that are not wanted here.
Also, the OP often has a specific question that gets addressed and receives some good answers, and then posters go off down some other tack with the thread and start arguing about other things, or there’s a risk that they will.
