Are all martyrs saints?

I always thought that martyrs were automatically classified as saints, once their martyrdom had been validated. However, I have seen lists of saints and blesseds that have listed martyrs as blessed rather than as saints. Does anyone know why? An example of such list is in the Magnificat publication’s list of feast & memorial celebrations.

My understanding is that martyrdom automatically elevates them to Blessed, but there is still need for a miracle before they will be canonised.

In other words it takes them only part of the way to canonisation, not the whole way.
