For example were Greco-Persian wars just? What defensive wars are not just wars?
What is with this inexhaustible disorder to research every war ever fought and label it “just” or “unjust?”
St. Augustine’s just war doctrine is general guidelines that cannot be used to judge every little action or reaction leading up to a war. The Church doesn’t do this; I don’t understand why lay Catholics feel the need to do it.
A just war is that which can’t be avoided and is for a just reason, no matter if you are defending or attacking.
