Are the promises of the rosary only gained if prayed in the state of grace?

Or can one in the state of mortal sin receive them too? Or does one in mortal sin receive only some of them?

It is when we are in such a horrid state that we need to turn to prayer most earnestly. Our Father in heaven will most certainly hear our prayers. Remember the prodigal son, his father welcomed him with open arms.

Fr. Ripperger states that in a state in mortal sin you receive none of the effects and graces of any act. Once absolved though you might get them after the fact.

Joanna, you are scrupulous, and you should not be asking these sorts of questions here. Please speak to your priest.

You are in my prayers.
