I’m not a catholic, but I am a convert to Christianity. I came from an Islamic background. I was a muslim for six years and now for one and a half years I’ve been a christian.
That’s an awesome testimony! Thankyou so much for sharing it.

Cradle, but reverted in 2015.
I grew up in a very Catholic household, Father is a Deacon and mother is part of a religious order in a lay/secular capacity. Myself, I am 20YO and played Priest in my house from around 4-12. I have always been active in learning about the faith and was always that one kid who “knew everything” in religious education.
That said, I never took my faith seriously until this past year (I’m 20YO) as before then I was just your Sunday Catholic who committed mortal sins during the week and then received on the weekends, had a conversion experience this past summer, specifially on July 9th. I am studying for Bachelors in Political Science as well as Religious Studies so it’s funny the ways God works in us. I don’t know what I’d label myself as if I had to, grew up in a deeply Catholic family but didn’t care until I was 19 and I’m learning a lot about my faith each day, I have a growing fascination with the Dominicans
I am a cradle Catholic!
I was born into a Catholic family and baptized two weeks after I was born. I’ve never left the church and I never will.
Hello everyone I am Cary, 34 years of age. I grew in a Baptist denomination in my younger years but it wasn’t too pressured on me. I could say by my high school years I was a troubled teen so my mother put me into a non-denominational school were I could say I learned a lot about the Bible and being a better person and was baptized around 15. The religious fervor didn’t stick too long because I wasn’t living the way I should and I would consider myself an Atheist I just didn’t think about it anymore. I had a traumatic incident at work and became friends with my boss who I come to find out was the proceeding Bishop of our local LDS church. I became familiar with the basic understandings of the belief but not much more than that and a few months later I decided to Join. I can say they treated me better than family and awesome support but about a year or so I started having doubts and became a strong critic of it. The experience was so great it turned me into an Atheist. I found my self in the same shoes as Joseph Smith in his testimony concerning so many denominations. So, I guess you could say I started looking into many faiths including Islam but it still wasn’t enough for me, something was telling me to keep looking. I’m not really sure how it happened but I began learning about Ignatius, Polycarp and lots of early church fathers. I’m not sure what happened but it was a feeling so great and it made feel down about myself because why I haven’t heard these people before. I felt I wasted a lot of years in my ups and downs. I almost lost it I tell myself if it wasn’t for our history in the early church. In 2018 I was confirmed into the Catholic Church. I couldn’t be any happier and I have my whole life of studying our Fathers and the many aspects of the mysteries. If anyone wants to plant seeds into someone tell them about Saint Ignatius etc because it sure did in my life. I know some people will neglect any of it and its happened to me with friends I know. It’s like they stick their finger in their ears. I also am proud to be the 1st Catholic in my family and I will continue to grow my family into the truth.
Great story! Now we need to work on your football team.
I’m surprised to even see Bama colors after that horrid smack down Clemson gave them… then again I’m an ND fan so I can’t talk…
Great to hear a story like yours
I love my Bama but they did have a horrific defeat
Convert last October.
Convert. Baptized and raised Episcopalian. I was received into the Catholic Church on January 22, 1972.
The priest sounds wonderful. You could reassure your husband that no one would pressure him to revert, just to see it as a fact finding venture. Prayers for you both.
Thank you! Blessings and Peace!
Cradle Catholic! Love my Faith and Scriptures
1 Timothy 3:16 16 Without any doubt, the mystery of our religion is great:He was revealed in flesh,
vindicated in spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among Gentiles, believed in throughout the world,
taken up in glory.
Convert since 1998
