Arrest made in ‘Vote Trump’ burning of Mississippi black church

GREENVILLE, Miss. — Mississippi authorities have made an arrest in the burning of an African-American church spray-painted with the words, “Vote Trump.”

Mississippi Department of Public Safety spokesman Warren Strain says Andrew McClinton of Leland, Mississippi, who is African-American, is charged with first-degree arson of a place of worship.

McClinton was arrested Wednesday. Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville, Mississippi, was burned and vandalized Nov. 1, a week before the presidential election.

As a point of reference, here’s the original thread on the subject:

This does not surprise me. Very sad. Wasn’t there a Muslim student a few weeks ago blame Trump supporters attacking her in some way which turned out to be made up?

The article doesn’t say he was a pro or anti Trump supporter though, just that he was African American.

There have been more than a dozen of these “false flag” incidents since the election. Anti-Trump people staging crimes supposedly committed by Trump supporters. The media laps it up.

They lap up the initial incident, but I wonder how many people hear about the story being false after the fact. The media doesn’t"t seem to concentrate on the truth when it is discovered.

I remember engaging in a debate on this forum with someone saying Trump inspires his supporters to pain swastikas after election. Well, now we know who really did this:

PLAINVIEW - A student who police say drew swastikas inside a Nassau Community College bathroom was arraigned Wednesday on 12 counts of aggravated harassment.
According to prosecutors, Jasskirta Saini, 20, of Plainview, drew more than 100 hateful messages, including swastikas, KKK and “Hitler.”

Police say Saini did it because he felt he was being harassed by the Jewish community in his hometown of Plainview.

One more hoax:

A Muslim student at the University of Michigan fabricated a story about a man threatening to light her on fire if she didn’t remove her hijab, Ann Arbor police said Wednesday.

Her story of anti-Muslim discrimination in the wake of Donald Trump’s election made international headlines, and the Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations called for the incident to be investigated as a hate crime.

Most people are unaware of these types of stories. They need to focus on how often they are happening.

And they always want to blame the election of Donald Trump!

That is senseless and no doubt caused suffering to many people. I hope they get their ecclesial building repaired.
