Yes I know this Lisa. But not only speak about women but homosexuality and not a bad opinion.
Like the end article says, this is very important to understand the jihad and the islamic notion of paradise.

It sounds great if your a guy! I bet Joe Smith liked this stuff too?

So strange that the virgins are transparent… why would they want to be able to see the bone marrow like pearls?.. They are white but like a wine glass full of red wine… this just sounds disgusing to me. Why would transparent skin be attractive? It sounds like a little shop of horrors to me, all they need is a creepy plant saying “feed me seymour…” freekish.

When I first learned about the Islamic concept of paradise, I remember it really struck me as to how carnal it all was. The total antithesis of the Christian understanding.

Christos Anesti! Christ is Risen!
John.

The Christians, we only need God.

LOL I couldn’t have said it better myself… There is no real love for God in that “religion”, just a whole life looking forward to an afterlife filled with perversion and lust.

And they accuse the West of being sexual degenerates…they got sex on the brain so much, they wanna bring it into Heaven…

this is what happens when they keep their women covered from head to toe…they’re horny all day long and only have other hairy men to look at.

Hi all!

Prodromos, I might rephrase what you wrote as follows:

When I first learned about the Islamic concept of paradise, I remember it really struck me as to how carnal it all was. The total antithesis of the Jewish understanding.

As an orthodox Jew, I share your disgust!

(Isn’t there an old Irish drinking song that says something drinking beer here 'cause there’s none in Heaven?)

Be well!

ssv

Goodness, that’s a real shocker. I didn’t think they accepted homosexuality. It seems like their whole religion is about lustful rewards for man. What in the blazes happens to a woman when she dies?? Wow, just wow. It’s things like that that make me truly realize I should be truely greatful for my religion.

I have to agree. I’ve never seen anyone posting on these forums make so many references to porn (which he called “Christian porn” ) as I did with the Muslim poster who was here yesterday.

Please note that **Anwar Shaikh, **the author of this article, is an apostate Muslim and the equivalent of Bishop Spong among Episcopalians. One should read this article in that light. An orthodox Muslim might not read into Islam the things which Shaikh has suggested.

Yes it could be, but the cites are the cites, and they are clear.

Hi Everyone,

I am a Muslim. Someone on this forum asked me (and others) to come by this forum to answer questions about Islam. A friend of mine wrote up this answer in relation to Paradise Questions and I will post it below. If I break any TOS’s then I guess the Admins can let me know.

Regarding Paradise:

One of the most important verses in the Quran regarding Paradise is:

‘And no soul knows what joy for them (the inhabitants of Paradise) has been kept hidden (Quran Chapter 32 Verse 17)’

Allah said:‘I have prepared for My righteous servants what no eye has seen and no ear has heard, not has it occurred to human heart’. (Hadith)

From these and other verses and hadith, we learn that the exact reward muslims get in Paradise is something so delightful that it cannot be even described or imagined in terms humans can understand.

Since the Quran is written for all humans, whether base or very spiritual or intellection. So the Quran explains Paradise in many ways so everyone will be attracted to it. The Quran uses some worldly delights which humans can relate to. These include :

Gardens underneath which rivers flow
Gushing springs
Garments of fine silk in the best colors
Ornaments of gold and other jewels
Beautiful mansions
All the best kind of food and drinks - meat, fruit, wine, etc,
served on luxurious dishes and glasses
Couches and Thrones to sit on
Spread out, rich carpets

This is just a few of the rewards mentioned in the Quran. Now as you can see, these are all things which humans would love to have, and would delight in. Because by telling muslims that they can get these kinds of delights in Paradise, the Quran is encouraging muslims to try to reach Paradise. What is in Paradise will be far, far better than the best things that people can get in this world. And as well as the above things, the Quran does indeed talk about physical companionship. Why? because as with the other things, it is something which people are attracted to and will be willing to strive for.

For some men, It is their nature to want to love more than one woman. So telling a man that if he works hard in this world, he will get multiple, beautiful wives in Paradise, this is just a way of encouraging men to work hard for Paradise.

We should also remember that there are non tangible rewards in Paradise, of which the most important is that the people of Paradise will see Allah face to face. They will also have the good pleasure of Allah. They will be with their families. They will be of a youthful age. They will never get bored. And so on, the Quran relates all these things and many more.

So to sum up : both men and women will get to see, hear and feel things in Paradise that they do not get in this world. The pleasure and delights of Paradise are better than anything you can ever have in this world. The Quran has tried to give an idea of these rewards, by its description of Paradise, as an encouragement for both men and women to do good actions and stay away from forbidden things. This description includes many things that both men and women find delight in in this world, and includes - at least for men - the prospect of multiple, beautiful wives.

Hello Munawar,

If I understand your post correctly, you are saying that since mankind cannot comprehend paradise, God lied to Muhammed and made up things we could understand in order to have us follow Islam?

I do believe that is what you said.

My understanding is that the Qur’an is the absolute word of God. Not Muhammeds version. But God’s word for word dictation to Muhammed. So you are saying that God lied?
