Back pain and chess tournament

#1

I am suffering from severe back pain since the last few days. I am going to Calcutta tomorrow for a chess tournament which will begin on the 13th. There will be 13 rounds and 4 hrs per round, so I guess my back pain is going to trouble me a lot if it doesn’t get healed by then. Pray that God may heal this back pain and also give me great success at this coming tournament. I won’t be around till the 26th. Will let you know the results after I return! Keep praying!

A Prayer For Healing

Lord, look upon this one with eyes of mercy,
may Your healing hand rest upon them,
may Your life giving powers
flow into every cell of their body
and into the depths of their soul,
cleansing, purifying, restoring them
to wholeness and strength
for service in Your Kingdom.
Amen.

Hail Mary,
full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Fight the pain and do your best!

I remember the time our chess club took on the West Point chess team. .

So many losses. . . Still was a great bit of fun, even if we were completely outclassed.

I’ve lost what little knack I had for it but I still enjoy it simply for fun.

Ave Maria! St. Peregrine, ora pro nobis.

Ok, so, I had a pretty good tournament. I had 6 wins, 2 draws and 5 losses. The final score was 7/13 with a rating performance of 2240, which is pretty good. Although I didn’t qualify for the National A Championship, I think God has better plans for me! Thanks for praying!
