My beloved father has been battling a rare form of melanoma for seven years. He started chemotherapy for it about a year ago, and it put it all into remission, however, shortly after this major triumph, he developed another form of cancer, and its killing him. He is going through a clinical trial on an experimental drug so we have a little bit of hope.
Just to give you an idea of the character of this great man… my sister had a premature baby. This baby had to stay in the NICU for a long time. She was so tiny, she could fit into the palm of your hand. Anyway, my father traversed the miles to drive to Cedar Sinai and not only be with his tiny granddaughter, but he would hold her, cuddle her, talk and sing to her, and feed her - EVERY DAY. The nurses marveled at his devotion. They told my sister that rarely have they seen anything like that.
My sister built an apartment onto their house, for my father about five years ago, so he gets to see his grandaughter every day, she is now nine. The two of them have a bond that is very special. My father has shared with my sister that he has been fighting to live all these years for his children and grandchildren, but in a very special way, his little grandaughter.
So, I beg everyone for prayer, that the Lord in His great mercy, will allow my father to stay with us for a longer period of time, maybe even heal him of this dreadul disease. I am asking for a miracle!
Thank you everybody!! His name is Paul E.
