Belgian coma 'writer' Rom Houben can't communicate

Looks like the previous thread on this forums.catholic.com/showthread.php?t=399800 was a tad credulous.

I’m surprised they fell for that. This facilitated communication has been around for decades and has been debunked in several studies: if the ‘facilitator’ didn’t know the answer to a question, the patient couldn’t answer. Anyone who’s watched this would have to wonder how someone who is profoundly uncommunicative, has never learned to read and never used a keyboard can suddenly answer questions by typing out words while never once looking toward the keyboard.
