I never understood this either. Now I understand the difference. As I once saw it, if medical science is good for society, how can it be bad? Well medical science isn’t good or bad, but how it is applied CAN be.
Like the woman with 8 new babies. While there is nothing wrong with the babies (result) there is something wrong with the application of the medical science.
While there is nothing wrong with the ABILITY to create a human clone, there is certainly the problem of creating them. Especially for organ harvesting.
There are good applications and bad. Just because we can does not mean we should.
As for most medical science, the intent is to help people, not harm them. So to that extent, we can put it to use.
Now some might say that ABC is helping people. However, we can see it can do much harm, unintentionally. Like keeping a child and feeding him, providing for him for every need, all the time. While it is helping him to live, it does not help him to learn to live, to find his own food, provide for himself, etc. Something “too good” is actually bad. That is what ABC is. Something so “good”, something usually bad comes from it. ABC promotes “bad” attitudes (while some say it doesn’t, at least my experience is that it does). Raising kids on sugar instead of healthy food, for instance, can cause some really bad personal habits and other issues down the line… When one lives on sweets, bitter is not digestable, even though life is full of bitter things that need to be managed.
The reason ABC is considered so “good” is that it helps people avoid “suffering.” Fact is, some suffering is really good for us. Like, “why suffer sleepless nights writing a term paper? When you can just go to the internet and pick one up for a few bucks or free!” What was learned? How can cheating make that student become a better person? It can’t. ABC is cheating. And that is why it is against Natural Law.
