Bonaventure calling Aquinas a heretic

I heard from a friend that St. Bonaenture called St. Thomas Aquinas the "Father of all Heresies". Is this true? What was the context?

I’ve never heard that.

Saints Thomas and Bonaventure were contemporaries, and worked well together in Paris. In addition “Father of all Heresies” is a title more suitable to the devil than to a saint, or even a Catholic theologian, much as one can be tempted at times.

Franciscan and Dominican Philosophy is certainly different enough to warrant disagreements but not to this level I would imagine.

Preposterous. Never happened.

**Absolutley not!!

They were best friends!!**
