The Book of Abraham is probably the most interesting of the unique LDS scriptures, since we find many of the unique beliefs of the LDS Church, including Kolob, the pre-mortal existence, the plurality of gods (made explicit), etc. The origin of the Book of Abraham (how Joseph Smith received the text) is also interesting and unique. The controversy over the interpretation of the fascimilies (as well as the loss of and recovery of part of the original) is also interesting to study, in light of modern advances in Egyptology.
Do you believe that the Book of Abraham is more problematic than the Book of Mormon for the LDS Church? Have you read it? What do you think about it?
