British man 'fathered 600 children' at own fertility clinic

From The Telegraph:
A British man may have fathered 600 children by repeatedly using his own sperm in a fertility clinic he ran, it has emerged.

Bertold Wiesner and his wife Mary Barton founded a fertility clinic in London in the 1940s and helped women conceive 1,500 babies.

It was thought that the clinic used a small number of highly intelligent friends as sperm donors but it has now emerged that around 600 of the babies were conceived using sperm from Mr Wiesner himself.
Life would be a whole lot better if people just followed the teachings of the Church.

From the CDF:
…fertilization of a married woman with the sperm of a donor different from her husband and fertilization with the husband’s sperm of an ovum not coming from his wife are morally illicit. Furthermore, the artificial fertilization of a woman who is unmarried or a widow, whoever the donor may be, cannot be morally justified.

That’s amazing. Completely and utterly wrong, but still amazing.

300 children… all his… :eek::eek::eek:

I guess it’s no surprise he apparently never told anyone about it. That would have been some killer child support…

Eww. Just . . . EWW!!

Another reason that these sperm banks shouldn’t even be legal in the first place. It’s bad enough the immorality of these institutions isn’t recognised, now this.

Just pray for him though!
