I am not sure if this is in the right place, but my question also refers to Holy Orders - mods feel free to move.
I am getting a Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and my parish priest is formally investing me (using the rite in the Rituale Romanum) this Sunday. However, before I am invested into the Confraternity, will being in the Confraternity of the Brown Scapular stop me from entering into the regular diocesan Priesthood, as I am nurturing a vocation (of which I think I am sure in - I know that at the moment Seminary is what I’m going to do after sixth form) and do not want to be stopped by being in the Confraternity. Answers, along with prayers, will be graciously received.
Unworthily in Christ,
