"Calling to mind our sins"..... when we say this at Mass, are we supposed to recall even past sins that have been forgiven?

I thought that we were supposed to move on, and not dwell on past forgiven sins. Is this prayer just to recall sins since the last confession?

We don’t need to ask God for forgiveness again of those sins we have confessed. We should move on after our sins are forgiven, however, it is also important to be mindful of those mistakes we have made in the past and how much we need Christ in our lives. It is during this time that we may recollect any sins we have recently committed. I hope this helps. Others will have more to say as well.

God Bless,
