Can a man become a priest if he has children?

I read another thread that said if marriage is annulled, a man becomes eligible for the seminary. what if there is children involved and child support payments? and at what age is past the eligibility?

Dear 1,

If there are children who are not het adults, his first obligation to act as the parent that he is. Let’s hope that he is more involved with them than just making financial payments! He must complete one vocation before beginning another.

There are seminaries for late vocations. I know of an instance where a man in his 70s was ordained. It’s a matter of finding a diocese or religious order who will ordain him.
