Can art be adequately used to glorify and honour God?

Hi, I’m an amateur artist and a Catholic.
I plan to make drawings and sketches of churches I have visited in my travels.
I hope that can be used to honour and glorify God and his temple.

If that is your intention, why not

I like them. Maybe you could sell some for charity if you want to glorify god.

Thank you. That’s an excellent idea.

The Church needs art and artists. There are artists out there who are doing excellent work for the Church but they are rarely mentioned by name since their goal is not recognition for themselves but to give a gift to the Church. It could be a painting or a sculpture since art is a vocation, a talent, a gift. And even if it’s a little or a lot, we should use the talents God gave us.
