Can Catholics Say a Prayer at a non-Catholic funeral?

I read somewhere that Catholics were not allowed to take an active role in a non-Catholic liturgical service. Does this mean we are not allowed to offer a brief eulogy or say a prayer at a Protestant funeral service?

The following link should assist you in better understanding the Catholic Church’s teaching on who can lector (read the readings) at *any *Mass. If you have any further questions or concerns that are not answered by this link, please contact Catholic Answers directly.
