Can I attend a Protestant baby dedication?

Is it appropriate for Catholics to go to a Protestant baby dedication? My sister, a former Catholic, invited me to attend my nephew’s dedication.

Ordinarily, there would be nothing wrong with a Catholic attending a Protestant baby dedication. In your case though, in which your sister is a former Catholic who is now raising her son outside of the Church, I cannot recommend attending this particular dedication on the grounds that it could demonstrate approval for your sister’s rejection of her Catholic faith.
