Can I buy things when the proceeds will go to non-Catholic churches?

I went garage sale shopping this morning and was purchasing some items from one and was told that 100% of the proceeds would be going to their church. The name was “The Good Shepard” or something like that, but they belonged to the “Independent Catholic Church of the West” I purchased the items and was curious if Catholics can buy from these groups or their thrift stores or does it constitute support of their beliefs that are possibly against the Churches teaching?
