Can I forego Lenten abstinence so that food doesn't go to waste?

So I know you aren’t supposed to eat meat on fridays during lent, but this morning I forgot, so i packed a pulled pork sandwich for lunch. If I don’t eat it today, it’ll go to waste, so is it alright if i eat it for the sake of not wasting food?

These links should explain when eating meat on days of absitnence needs to be confessed. If you have any further questions or concerns that are not answered by these links, please contact Catholic Answers directly.
