Can you attend the wedding of a Catholic and divorced Protestant?

Hello, a close friend has been invited to her God Daughter/Nieces wedding to a man she is living with and who is divorced with two small boy. We don’t know if it was a valid marriage or if the bride or groom were baptized. My friend isn’t sure if she should attend the wedding. The brides mother is Catholic on her own terms. This will be difficult for the family if my friend does not attend.
Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Thank you
