Can you be a faithful Catholic and reject Vatican ii?

I have a brother-in-law and sister-in-law who only attend the Traditional Latin Mass but will only go to a Church that is faithful to the Vatican and will not attend SSPX or any independent Church and do recognize Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (although I don’t think they are big fans of his). However they will say that Vatican ii is the reason for all the problems in the Church since then and it was not guided by the Holy Spirit. So does this put them in the state of sin?

Also they will go to the New Mass if its the only one they can get to so I don’t think they believe the New Mass is invalid but do not care for it at all.

Thank you and God Bless!

Mike
