Can you get married if you are sterile?

A woman I know was a chaste Christian who later in life had breast cancer. In the process of saving her, they gave her a hysterectomy as well. In the Catholic church, is it true she could never marry?

It seems cruel for a person who probably never knew marriage to be denied it and I don’t know what to think of this situation. Any help is very appreciated.

The following link should assist you in understanding the Church’s teaching regarding whether infertile people can marry. If you have any further questions, please contact Catholic Answers directly.
