Can you read God's name when it's taken in vain?

Sometimes when I’m reading something, the writer in the book or article will take God’s name in vain. Are we obliged to just skip over that to avoid taking his name in vain, or is it technically not taking his name in vain because we’re just reading what a book or article said?

You can handle it whichever way you prefer. If the book or article continuously blasphemes the name of God, then you may wish to stop reading it.
