Can anyone please tell me if Cantate Domino is considered an infallible document of the Church?
A very long thread recently discussed this document of the Council of Florence.
This text, like all teachings of the Magisterium, is to be interpreted and understood according to the Magisterium, not according to our personal views.
But–hey–this is a discussion forum–what would you like to discuss about the infallible teaching contained in this document?
Perhaps you could cite the entire text, not just the single part that interests you? It would provide essential context.
On the whole. Let’s put it this way - is every doctrinal statement within infallible?
Every statement regarding faith/morals that is part of the universal teaching asserted by the text can’t contain error.
