Cardinal Rigali urges opposition to new liberalized embryo-research guidelines

Cardinal Justin Rigali of Philadelphia, the chairman of the US bishops’ pro-life committee, has denounced the new guidelines for embryonic stem-cell research released by the National Institutes for Health, noting that the new guidelines go even beyond the broad scope of earlier suggestions.

Cardinal Rigali urged American citizens to weigh in with their own Congressional representatives, asking them to oppose the policy.
