Catholic books on Jesus, theology etc

I am looking at buying authoritive and well respected books on the subjects of Catholicism, Jesus, theology, you name it. I want to be the best Catholic I can be and educating myself about my faith will help in that regard.

Thank you and God bless.

Jesus of Nazareth by Pope Benedict XVI are great books, they are three.

The Faith Explained by Leo Trese

The Catechism of the Catholic Church
The Code of Canon Law
Catholic Bible (with the 73 books)

Aquinas’ “Summa Theologica”. The greatest theological work ever. You can read it all online. That’s if you’re looking for some heavy stuff

You don’t have to get it, either! Just pick a subject you like. Spend 30 minutes on it, and I promise you your knowledge will grow immensely

Great books. I’m trying to locate my copy. I think it’s in a storage shed…

The Jerusalem Bible
The Little Flowers of St. Francis
The Shroud by Ian Wison
Test the Shroud by Mark Antonacci

Thank you everyone!! Really appreciate all the recommendations so far.

Theology For Beginners by F.J. Sheed. Very readable and easy to follow.
