Catholic Home Schooling

#1

I am not sure if this is the right forum…My family and I are in RCIA and will be coming into the Church this Easter. We home school our two teens and were wanting to switch to a Catholic Accredited Home School program. The problem is, Catholic Home Schooling is more expensive than what we are now using (non-denomination) Why is that? Does anyone know of an affordable program?

Not sure what you consider affordable

Have you checked out Mother of Divine Grace and Kolbe?

Have you considered North Atlantic Regional High School?

narhs.org/

It’s an accreditated unbrella school. It’s $300 a year, but you design your own curricula (as Catholic as you want) and they verify it. They require proof that you did the work, in other words.

Catholic Heritage Curricula has a nice book The High School of your Dreams.

Let me just point out that if you are designing your own free-lance curriculum, you can make it as Catholic as you want. It doesn’t have to be from an “official” Catholic supplier or designer to make it a Catholic homeschool-- not that I have anything against Seton or Kolbe, etc., I just thought this point might not have occurred to you.

I can enlarge on this, if you want…
