The Church welcomed the new technologies of radio, movies and television and it expressed its loving concern that these mediums would not be used to debase men or glorify sin. In the 1950s and 1960s, for the most part, television and many films, were consistent with this view. Today, the media has moved so far away from what is true, uplifting and edifying it’s not funny.
Read and learn what the Church taught and what we responded to. I only watch the rare movie (usually by Pixar), the very rare TV show, and the radio in my car stays on the local Catholic station.
