In most seminaries, there is a required time of chastity of each candidate to prove they can maintain a chaste and celibate life. The last time I had intercourse was two years ago, but I did commit sensual sins with my ex girlfriend through touching until 5 months ago. I am applying to a diocese and feel as though they will tell me to wait before being accepted. Should I wait until they tell me that I am being rejected, or go ahead and remove my application for a year or two?
Talk to the vocations director about this. He’d be able to help you more than any of us would.
Marriage and the vocation to celibacy are both vocations- talk to the director.
