Christian School in UK "Downgraded for Failing to Invite Imam to Lead Assembly."

A successful Christian school in the UK has been warned it is to be downgraded by inspectors and could even face closure after failing to invite a leader from another religion, such as an imam, to lead assemblies, it is claimed.

Since the greatest scandal at the moment surrounds the naughtiness of certain schools with predominantly Muslim populations and boards of governors, there’s something of a sauce/goose/gander situation. You can hardly demand that Muslims stop being naughty while allowing others to be naughty.

Remember, folks, this is in a country whose established religion is the Anglican ecclesial community. This is a country whose Queen is Head of the Anglicans. This is a country whose subjects attempted to escape the hegemony of one Christian denomination and seek religious freedom for themselves by founding a country whose First Amendment prevents the establishment of any state religion.

Now I am living in a country where jurisprudence has expanded the First Amendment to mean a “Wall of Separation” between Church and State. Just imagine what will happen when schools in the USA fail to invite an imam to lead Muslim prayers.

England has really seemed to have lost its way.
