Church Building or Personal Dwellings for Worship

Last question, I promise…

Evidently, some people say we should worship in each others homes and that the early Christians always worshipped in their personal dwellings. In my current church, that may be a bit difficult but could force me to do a better job a keeping house. But really, how can I respond to this from a Catholic perspective?

I recently completed an article on the related topic of sacred places–the different understanding of these kinds of places between Protestants and Catholics. As it’s under review at a Catholic publication right now, I don’t want to widely distribute it. If you wanted to contact me via e-mail, though, I’d be happy to send it to you. It might help you understand the differences in understanding relating to places of worship–and why it’s all so important.
