Climate change belief given same legal status as religion

The Telegraph:

Climate change belief given same legal status as religion

In a landmark ruling, Mr Justice Michael Burton said that “a belief in man-made climate change … is capable, if genuinely held, of being a philosophical belief for the purpose of the 2003 Religion and Belief Regulations”.

The ruling could open the door for employees to sue their companies for failing to account for their green lifestyles, such as providing recycling facilities or offering low-carbon travel.

Of course Mr Nicholson resents having his “scientific” views equated with religion.

I think this is absolutely brilliant!!!

I hope they rule the same in America.

1] Federally funding a “religion” is unconstitutional.

2] “Freedom ** of ** religion”

3] Universities will also find this problematic, as other religions would now be able to demand equal rights.

4] Selling of “Carbon Credits” would amount to selling religious indulgences.

As always, just my thoughts

Yeah I would be insulted too to have scientific views equated with religon…

That is just ridiculous. To say the belief of the climate change is the same as religion is like saying playing Basketball is the same as Baseball. It just doesn’t work.
